The population the HangOut Social group is serving are adults, ages 21+, with various disabilities.; primarily learning disabilities, autism and intellectual disabilities.  We welcome all adult applicants who agree to our By-Laws and Code of Conduct/Rules which are an essential part of the registration process.

LDAMD has been active since 1965 as an advocacy group for people with learning disabilities. All board members volunteer time & expertise and are parents of individual adults with disabilities or deeply involved in special education.

We understand the exclusion these members have met in their lives and how they wish for friends.  This is why LDAMD and the HangOut Hive Leadership Team are committed to building a social group that is a place of welcome and fostering a community of belonging.

We mandate that all members pay an annual fee of $25 (due within 2 weeks of joining*) which is used for special events/dinners, food at the monthly meetings and payment of other expenses as determined by the HOH Leadership Team.
